Explore – An Opus Virtual Gallery
A Gallery To Explore The World Around Us
Adventure into the outdoors together with the next chapter of the Opus Explore Virtual Gallery. This round we are exploring landscapes! Dive in to painting, drawing, and sketching of land formations, iconic locations, and nature scenes around us.
Over the next several weeks, join us and participate in the #OpusExpore Virtual Gallery to get warmed up for the Opus Outdoor Painting Challenge taking place starting July 15–25. Every story and artwork submission counts as another entry to the draw to win weekly art supplies and gift card prizes, and entries selected for inclusion in an Opus article will also receive a $50 Opus Gift Card!
Whether painting plein-air, sketching an urban scene, or channeling wild surroundings in the studio, this summer let’s open ourselves up to the creativity nature ignites. Let’s explore all of the freshness and beauty the world has on offer, both outside and within ourselves.
To enter the gallery, photograph your work and post to instagram with the hashtag #OpusExplore and tell us where you explored, whether it’s in the country-side or city! We’re looking for pictures of your set up, your work in progress, or a selfie with your work. Let us know what you liked about your plein air set up, your location, and what you would change. (looking for tips on how to best capture your work for Instagram? Watch our IGTV on this here.)
As the gallery receives entries, they will populate below. Together, this gallery will be a place to explore our neighbourhoods through each others art!
