DOING OUR PART TO FLATTEN THE CURVE OF COVID-19

It is out of a sense of commitment to the health and well being of our community that we are announcing to you that after tomorrow, Saturday, March 21, at 4 PM, all Opus retail locations will be closed to the public for the time being, with plans to reopen our doors as soon as it’s safe for our staff members and customers to join us again. These are unprecedented times, and we want to do our part to help flatten the curve of COVID-19 and keep our staff, our customers and our community healthy.

GETTING ART SUPPLIES – It’s day to day

At Opus, we recognize the importance of creativity in our lives, both as an activity to enjoy and entertain, and as an outlet for stress. Together, our team has prepared some new ways to shop and to serve members of our creative community safely and without risking contact.

ONLINE ORDERS FOR DELIVERY TO YOUR ADDRESS:
Our online store will remain open at opusartsupplies.com and offers delivery to your door via no-contact services with free shipping for BC and Alberta customers on orders over $50 until further notice.

NEW SERVICE – CALL & COLLECT:
A small group of dedicated staff will be available at each location to pick and pack your orders at the store. Beginning Tuesday, March 24, call your preferred Opus location to place your order. We will pick it, pack it, and have it ready for you to pick up at the door without risking contact.

CLICK & COLLECT:
Order online and choose free delivery of your order to your preferred Opus location for pick up at the door without risking contact.

We will be updating our website with great project ideas, videos, and content to inspire you. We will also be making every attempt to reach out to you remotely to see how you are doing.

Please stay safe and healthy, and keep creating!

The Opus Team

Dear Opus Plus Members,

Over the past few weeks, it’s become clear that the world is facing an unprecedented challenge with the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Just like you, we at Opus are deeply concerned and want to do what we can to help keep our communities and our families safe and healthy.

On behalf of Opus Art Supplies, I wanted to send a personal note to you to let you know how we are responding to the situation. We are humbled by your loyalty, and we take our responsibility to our creative customers, our staff members, and our partners very seriously, and wanted to check-in and provide an update about what this means for Opus Plus Members across BC.

The health of our members and Opus staff is our top priority, and we’ve taken precautionary steps to lessen the currently low Canadian public health risk associated with COVID-19. While we have always had hand sanitizer and disposable gloves available to our shoppers and event participants to use, we are continuing to offer these amenities and are stepping up our in-store preventative measures to make sure you feel safe and are served well.

These new measures include:

    • Enhancing our cleaning processes and frequency at all Opus locations, including the frequent washing of countertops, point of sale equipment, washroom facilities, door handles, equipment used at Try-It Stations, and seating used at demonstrations, workshops and classes.

    • Our new Click & Collect program has been fast-tracked enabling us to offer you the option to pick up your online purchases from our stores free of charge. We are also happy to bring your Click & Collect order out to your car if you would prefer.

    • Promoting everyday preventive behaviours with our staff members throughout the province.

  • Opus will be adhering to risk-informed decision-making regarding Opus events, as advised by the Government of Canada. This means that some Opus events happening either inside our stores or outdoors may be postponed or cancelled. We’ll do our best to let you know of any changes as they occur.

While we are very happy to see you during your visit to our stores to shop and attend events, we would ask that if you are not feeling healthy, you make the appropriate decision to stay at home, protecting the health of your creative community members.

We will continue to keep you up to date with any related changes at Opus that may affect you. We encourage all Opus Plus Members to learn more using the information available through the Government of Canada’s Public Health Services. Please visit the Government of Canada Public Health Services.

Opus is committed to moving forward in a thoughtful and considerate way, keeping the safety and well being of our communities, Opus Plus Members and staff top of mind to ensure that everyone feels safe to shop with us and participate in Opus events.

President & CEO, Opus Art Supplies
