Scholarship Opportunities at The Gordon & Marion Smith Foundation

The Gordon & Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists and Artists For Kids are pleased to offer the following Scholarships for graduating students who have completed or are enrolled in Grade 12 level Visual and Performing Arts courses.

Smith Foundation Scholarships

The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation is pleased to offer three $2,500 Scholarships to graduating students from  North Vancouver West Vancouver, and Vancouver, who have completed or are enrolled in Grade 12. Applicants must be planning to enrol in an accredited college or university during the upcoming academic year, be in good academic standing, and planning to pursue an arts-related major or minor.


North Vancouver

The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation North Vancouver Young Artist Scholarship is available to a graduating student, enrolled in a public or private North Vancouver school, who has demonstrated excellence in the Visual Arts and is planning to continue their education in the Visual Arts (visual arts include traditional media as well as photographic and digital media).

Artists For Kids Scholarships

Artists for Kids is pleased to offer the following three Scholarships for North Vancouver School District graduating students who have completed or are enrolled in Grade 12 level Visual and Performing Arts courses.


The $1,000 Jack Shadbolt Multiple Arts Excellence Award

This award is available to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in two or more of the Visual and/or Performing Arts disciplines (i.e. art & music, film & theatre, drama & dance) and is planning to continue their education in the arts.

The $1,000 Robert Bateman Future Teacher Award
