Swiss-made pencils, pastels and pens from Geneva since 1915.

Caran d'Ache has designed and made its drawing and writing instruments in Geneva since 1915. The name comes from karandash, the Russian word for pencil.

From Neocolor wax pastels to the 849 ballpoint and Luminance colour pencils, every piece reflects a Swiss obsession with precision and excellence.

Try it in the studio

Neocolor II pastels are water-soluble: draw boldly, then brush water over the marks to turn them into painterly washes.
