Winsor & Newton
Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolours - White or YellowSelect from 102 colours
Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolours (formerly known as Artists’ Water Colours) have maintained an excellent reputation since the introduction of moist watercolours in the 183s. These are truly a joy to paint with and are an artist-quality paint that is a favourite amongst watercolourists.
Available in 96 colours, the Professional Water Colours offer bright, vibrant colours with unrivalled performance. Using only the purest pigments, these paints are known for their brilliance, permanence, and strength of colour.
93 of the colours in this range are classed as permanent for artists’ use, rated AA or A for permanence to ensure that the colours used today will appear the same for generations to come.
|Availability||93 colours in 5 ml and 14 ml sizes|
W N Watercolours are probably the best for the saturation of the pigments, although it’s probably a good idea to experiment with other brands and compare. Some colours there can be as vivid. Good to check the lightfastness.
My only problem is Opus won’t bring in Windsor Newton series 6 brushes. The problem is, none of the others are nearly as good; don’t keep a point as long or hold as much water. I hope they bring them back! They are expensive but worth it.
