The NEW Opus Stone Paper is a versatile, bleed-proof paper suitable for ink, paint, and dry media. Acid-free and non-yellowing, this paper is nearly impossible to tear. The technology of this surface uses non-toxic resin along with pure calcium carbonate mineral extracted from mines, saving the use of trees and water normally associated with paper production.

This smooth, non-absorbent surface resists bleed-through from alcohol inks and buckling from wet media. Dried watercolour paintings can be reworked again, allowing for time to adjust and enhance. Enjoy endless creative possibilities! Each sheet is 17.5" x 24."

Love this paper

I use this paper with oil paint. If worked quickly you can scrape back into it and get a beautiful transparent effect.

Stone paper struggles

I’m new to stone paper. My attempts are frustrating. I do like the fact that I’m able to wash off my trials and start again. It’s a learning curve and I will continue off and on using the stone paper. I guess I expect quicker results just like regular watercolour paper provides. But the challenge is good. It would be nice to see a real demo.
