Hardwood Manikins in 12" Size

These FC Art Hardwood Manikins come in male and female. They are made of carved hardwood precision, and are jointed so as to provide flexibility in positioning. They come mounted on a metal pole with a wood base. Though these traditional artists’ aids invariably intrigue other designers enough to find uses in window displays, print and television ads and so forth, their original use is to help in visualizing how the human figure will appear from various angles when no live model is available. This is especially helpful for an illustrator when drawing a figure in a series of poses; foreshortening, proportions, and angles can be more readily understood.
