We invite you to join Peri-Laine Nilan for an engaging demonstration on mastering the art of colour mixing with a limited palette! Designed for both acrylic and other paint mediums, this session will enhance your understanding of hue, value, saturation, and colour relationships. You’ll learn how to set up your palette effectively, mix various muted and saturated shades, and choose the right brushes along with essential brush techniques.
This Opus Art Supplies Coquitlam event will have a try-it station available! On the event day, participants can explore a selection of event-related materials and gain hands-on experience after the artist's presentation.

About Your Host
Peri-Laine is an art specialist with a degree in fine arts from UC Berkeley, a teaching certificate from the University of British Columbia, and a post-baccalaureate diploma in fine arts education from Simon Fraser University. Peri-Laine is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Burnaby Artists Guild.
After teaching for thirty-five years in the public school system, Peri-Laine now sketches and paints ‘plein air,’ works at home in her studio, and teaches art classes to adults in various mediums in her community.
