About Your Host

Orion Alexis is a self-taught artist from Burnaby who has been drawing on and off since childhood, but the COVID-19 pandemic provided the impetus to return to his artistic roots. After challenging himself to start painting every day, he chose watercolour as a medium that is light and easy to carry with him on the go. Orion paints much of his work en plein air when the weather and his schedule permit, capturing the feeling of the day. Orion is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Canadian chapter of the International Watercolour Society. He is a father of two young children and a licensed electrician.
