Join us at Opus Granville Island for an R&F Encaustic demonstration with Megan MacDonald.
Are you ready to dig a bit deeper into encaustics? This demonstration explores ways you can begin to push your encaustic practice. We will start with a brief overview of the safety and setup of an encaustic studio. Then, take a deeper dive, discussing topics such as suitable surfaces, ways to add colour to image transfers, using your heated surface as a traditional palette for colour mixing and creating glazes. Plus colour mixing, glazing, inlay, drawing in on and under the wax surface. Colour mixing using R&F encaustic paint sets, the versatility of the sets and the possibilities they hold.
This event will include a try-it station with event-related materials and surprise giveaways for attendees after the artist's presentation!
