Good portable set.

Good depending what you use it for

I'm a novice watercolourist - I do simple work - mostly similar to urban sketching. I was attracted to this set from an excellent Opus sponsored on-line demo. I like that it is permanent - a great feature for travel where your work may get damp. However, I found that while it is great for providing colour to simple shapes (like buildings and cars - urban landscape), it is much harder (at my skill level) to create expressive work in the natural environment - particularly skies. Hard to get good tonal variation in my hands - and you don't get some of the neat effects you can achieve with water colour (eg. in a wet on wet environment). I will work on my skills with water colour and perhaps go back to it later.
