The 140 lb blocks have 20 sheets of acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper. Sealed on four sides to prevent buckling. There is a small slit on one side to slide a knife through, in order to release the top sheet.

Arches Watercolour block

I find this 7"x10" block the perfect size for plain air!

Best ever

I use this paper for watercolour, acyllics, pen and ink and multimedia works. It’s not cheap but it is high quality. The paper holds its shape without buckling or waving and is easy to remove with a pallet knife the next day when it is thoroughly dry.

Artists Satisfied Since 1492!

Arches water colour paper is wonderful. How else does a papermaker survive in the same business since Columbus sailed to this side of the world? I would recommend it to anyone with some water, watercolours, brushes, and a little inspiration to paint.

I love my Arches watercolour paper!

I prefer 300lb cold pressed, but when I am teaching w.c @ VanDusen Gardens in Vancouver, the 140 lb cold pressed Arches block is perfect! All my students over the years follow my lead!
