Princeton Brush Review

I am very pleased with the recent purchase of a Princeton watercolour brush particularly because of the long, pointed type I chose. I highly recommend this type of brush because the synthetic hairs remain compact making painting details easier. This larger round brush holds quite a bit of water in the belly of the brush but still ends in a fine tapered point. My only complaint is that it’s quite expensive; nevertheless this has become my favourite brush!

Pointy and thirsty

I used to use a range of brushes from 12 to 000 but now I use two of these to get the same range of strokes and detail. They retain a very fine point and have a big belly that holds a ton of paint. A pleasure to use.

Nice point!

The Princeton Velvetouch Series 3950 is a great brush for fine details and inserting into an area that needs definition. I like it so much I will explore other brushes in this line.

Excellent value

I bought the size 6 long round and use it for watercolor. Great point and holds plenty of paint. It is firm enough to hold a point for painting fine lines. It is lightweight and the velvety handle is very comfortable and non-slip.
