Opus Essential Gesso is an artist-quality gesso, perfect for preparing unprimed surfaces such as canvas, linen, wood and paper. This heavy-bodied, bright white gesso has maximum opacity, adhesion, and water-resistance, and dries to a non-yellowing, flexible matte finish. Opus Essential Gesso contains high levels of titanium dioxide, calcite grit, and acrylic resin. Apply 2–4 coats as desired.

Worked well to cover a redo
On the plus side, it's white, provides some tooth and absorbency. But, after I first used it, subsequent uses (separated by a couple of weeks) always had lumpy surface skins in it. Maybe this happens with all gesso. One solution is to strain the gesso through a filter before use, a preferable solution would be improved packaging -a tube, so that the air can be removed before storage.
