Join Heike Kuzminski in learning how to paint a songbird using Winsor & Newton Professional watercolours, specifically the Revival colour range. She will discuss the materials used and how to create a simple composition from reference photos. During the demonstration, she will explain different watercolour painting techniques. People will learn to create smooth colour blends using the wet-on-wet technique and how to layer colours and add fine details using the wet-on-dry technique.

Heike Kuzminski is a watercolour artist and illustrator. Living in Coquitlam, she works from her home studio, looking out at the edge of the forest. Her surroundings and daily walks in nature inspire her art. She enjoys isolating elements and details to create simple and striking compositions. Her favourite subjects to paint are birds and animals in their natural habitat.
