Stillman & Birn Softcover Sketchbooks provide you with exceptional sketching and drawing possibilities.

The Epsilon Series contains white, 150gsm heavyweight paper with smooth, hot press-like texture that is ideal for pen and ink, dry media such as coloured pencils, water-based markers and light washes.

While the paper inside is the true star, these books can be judged by their covers. Featuring rounded corners to prevent frayed edges, and the sewn bindings result in a flexible spine, allowing the books to open flat for working across two pages.

The supple, imitation leather cover paper, in grey to denote the books in the Epsilon series, not only looks beautiful but holds up well with use. The softcover offers a smaller and more lightweight sketchbook when compared to a hardcover relative with the same paper size and number of pages, with a thinner profile and no overhang of the cover, making them the perfect art-on-the-go companion!

Perfect for pen & ink!

I use a Rapidograph technical pen to draw and I was having problems finding a compact size sketch book with the correct type of paper to use with this tool. As soon as I started drawing with the Stillman & Birn Epsilon, I’ve had no problems with the technical pen skipping or clogging. While this brand of sketch book isn’t the cheapest I’ve used, I learned that sometimes you just have to spend a bit more in order to get the results you’re looking for!
