I have the old colours of Pan Pastels but I never had the black.

Soft, smooth, easy to use

In firm powder form rather than stick. Make sure to use Sofft tools with them. Lasts about 4x longer than full stick pastels.

Great for filling in backgrounds or underpaintings. I use charcoal, colored pencils or pastel pencils to get the fine details.
