The Monet™ Pro Malibu™ canvas pairs alkyd oil-primed Belgian linen with Masterpiece’s 1-1/2″ deep professional construction, offering a surface favored by oil painters for its luminosity, responsiveness, and long-term durability.

Stretched using Masterpiece’s proprietary MuseumWrap™ back-stapled system, the canvas achieves drum-tight, evenly distributed tension. The folded (uncut) corners allow the canvas to be removed and re-stretched on the same frame if ever required—supporting longevity and conservation-minded practice.

The Malibu™ linen is double-sized and double-primed with an acid-free alkyd oil ground, creating an impenetrable yet flexible surface that is chemically compatible with oil paint. Its characteristic linen texture provides a subtle, tactile tooth, while the light gray ground enhances value control and promotes optical depth.
