Hahnemühle Bamboo 105 is the first sketch paper in the Hahnemühle Traditional FineArt Collection made of Bamboo fibres. The natural white paper which is extremely age resistant has a unique and rough surface suitable for sketch and drawing techniques.

This warm toned, high quality paper allows excellent contrast and colour adherence. Because of the use of highly renewable bamboo grass Hahnemühle Bamboo 105 stands for natural and resource saving paper production.

The Bamboo sketchbooks are real eye-catchers: the cover features beige bamboo stems which coincide nicely with the paper inside, consisting of bamboo (90 percent) and cotton (10 percent) fibres. The bamboo sketch books are available in the portrait formats A5 and A4 and each come with 128 pages.

I really like the paper in this sketchbook for pen and ink and dry media

I really like the paper in this sketchbook for pen and ink and dry media. You can really puddle ink on it and it doesn't feather or bleed. The only thing I have found that bleeds through are alcohol markers, so you'll need a sheet behind to protect the the next page. The paper is a nice thickness, but you can see the image you drew behind it, so it might not be comfortable to draw on both sides for you.
The paper is an off-white colour with a fine grain texture. Fine liners, dip pens, fountain pens, coloured pencil, graphite works really well, especially if you enjoy texture. The paper will buckle under heavy watercolour washes.
I removed a star for two reasons. One, I wish it had an elastic closure and the cover is made of a woven-textured paper that doesn't feel durable. I had accidentally blooped some ink on the cover and I tried to wash it off, but the cover started pilling and rubbing off.
Overall I enjoy working in this sketchbook and I feel it's a great value.
