About the product

Grafix All Purpose Low-Tack Frisket Films

Grafix Low-Tack Frisket Film is a self-adhering film with a removable adhesive that leaves no residue. This durable film will allow clean cuts and reusable masking. Easy to cut, and repositionable. Moisture and wrinkle-proof. Great for airbrushing, retouching, stencils, rubber stamping, watercolours, and masking. A .2″ vinyl film in clear or matte with a traditional soft peel that is easy to cut and reapply. Excellent for use on hot press (smooth) surfaces and with most airbrush techniques.

Most horrible product ever

Leaves sticky residue on thick art paper, also peels off paper in some areas. Do not use over marker (well dried). Use this if you want to risk destroying your piece.

Hi Chad,

We’re really sorry to hear this product damaged your artwork — that’s the last thing any artist wants.

While Grafix describes this frisket as low-tack and residue-free, your experience highlights why we’ve decided to stop carrying it. In our testing and from customer feedback, we’ve found it can behave unpredictably — especially on textured or absorbent surfaces, or over markers, even when dry.

Frisket films should support your creative process, not sabotage it. Thank you for sharing your experience so others can make informed choices — and so we can keep raising the bar on the tools we offer.

Can you use on a painted wall

Opus Art Supplies

Hi Susan, you should be able to, but I would advise to not keep it adhered for more than three days, as the longer you leave something up the firmer the adhesion will potentially be.
