GOLDEN Soft Gels are essentially colourless paints, as they utilize the same 100% acrylic polymers as acrylic paints. Thinner than Heavy Body Acrylics, this gel produces a brilliant glaze when mixed with a small amount of colour. It can also be used for the wet blending of colour. Soft Gel Gloss makes an ideal isolation coat for your acrylic paintings, before applying a final, removable varnish. Simply thin with water and apply with a brush.

Golden Soft Gel Matte medium works very well

Used it to anchor my finished Watercolour paintings on to a wooden panel. That way no need for matting and framing under glass. A brayer helped seal it evenly. Worked very well. Thanks Golden, Bonnie M
