About the product

Canvas Pliers

Canvas Pliers are an invaluable aid for the artist who likes to stretch his or her own canvases. The levering action allows for tighter stretching with less stress and strain on the hands. These cast metal pliers are an economy choice; they have spring action handles and non-slip jaws. They measure 2 ⅜″ across the jaws and 8" long overall.

Would recommend.

Seems like it does the job! My canvases are pretty tight.

Where are these pliers manufactured? If they come in a box that says "Good for oil paiting" note the spelling. I got a pair like this and they were very poor quality , made in China. Wouldnt want to buy them again.

Opus Art Supplies

These pliers are designed for lighter-weight canvas (7 oz or lighter), the problem may be that the canvas you are stretching is too heavy for these pliers. I know we also carry Holbein canvas pliers which are specifically designed for heavier canvas!
