These special limited edition Cotton & Linen Blend canvases offer the strength and traditional look of linen with the value of cotton, and are not readily found online or in other art supplies stores.
Exhibition quality, these canvases feature a blend of 55% linen & 45% cotton stretched on 1½" deep basswood bars, designed for presence and impact. They are primed with 2 coats of white gesso, and are ready to paint with acrylics. For oil painting, we recommend two or more additional coats of gesso to achieve your best results.
Wooden stretcher bar keys are included with each canvas so you can tighten your canvas to your desired tautness.

I would recommend 100% linen for detailed portraits. Opus should get in 100% oil primed linen canvas like Centurion makes. This canvas woukd be great for still life or landscapes, but bumpy like a towel to paint on.
I love this product as a surface to paint on- would buy more often if it were a better price!
