Gift card questions
How is an online gift card delivered?
Gift cards bought online are digital. If you tick “I want to send this as a gift”, we email it to your recipient on the date you choose, with your message. Otherwise it goes to the email on your order within 1 business day.
Can I schedule it for a birthday or holiday?
Yes. Choose any delivery date when you fill in the gift details, and it arrives in their inbox that day. Perfect for planning ahead.
Can I get a physical gift card?
Yes. Pick one up in any Opus store, or request one by phone at 1-800-663-6953 or by email and we'll arrange it for you.
Where can it be used?
Online at opusartsupplies.com, in any of our 7 BC stores, and on phone orders with our Customer Support team. It covers art supplies, custom framing and fine art printing.
I'm outside Canada. Can I buy and use one?
Yes. Opus gift cards are always issued in Canadian dollars and work on any Opus order: online, in store or by phone. If you check out in another currency, you pay the converted amount and the card carries its full CAD value.
How does the holiday bonus voucher work?
For every CA$100 in gift cards you buy from October 1 to December 24, 2026, we'll email you a $10 eGift voucher, up to $50 in vouchers. Spend is tracked in Canadian dollars, and the offer applies wherever you're shopping from. Vouchers expire February 28, 2027.
Which gift card purchases count?
All of them: online, in any of our seven BC stores, or by phone with Customer Support. We add up your gift card spend across all your orders during the promotion, in any combination of amounts, so ten $10 gift cards earn a $10 voucher. Only gift cards count toward your total, not other items in the same order.
How will I get my voucher?
We email it to the address on your order shortly after each $100 you reach. You’ll need a valid email address on the order, but you don’t need to be signed up for our newsletter. If it hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder, then contact Customer Support at 1-800-663-6953.
How do I use my eGift Voucher?
Use it online or in any Opus store by February 28, 2027. There’s no minimum spend, and it combines with sales and Cashback. Vouchers can’t be used to buy gift cards.
Do the vouchers expire?
Yes, on February 28, 2027. Any unused balance is forfeited after that date. Your gift cards themselves never expire.
Fine print
eGift Vouchers have no cash value and can’t be exchanged for cash, resold or transferred. Gift cards can’t be refunded or returned. Opus Art Supplies may change or end this promotion at any time.

Was thrilled to get this $25 gift card as I also had $50 on another gift card…,was able to get some water soluble wax caran darch pastels!

I called the Granville location from a different province to purchase a gift card for someone who lives in Vancouver. I asked for the actual card to be sent to me so I could enclose it with a Christmas card. No problem! Such good service! I received the card in the mail a few days later.

The Strathmore black cards are disappointing as they are quite a bit thinner in weight than I am used to - I won’t buy them again.

It’s always an exciting treat to be given an OPUS Art Supplies gift card. I enjoyed being an ambassador for Opus Essential Oil paint. I choose Opera Pink, Dioxazine Purple and Cerulean Blue Genuine. I was inspiring to share my painting techniques and joy of color to others through Zoom and in person at the Kelowna Opus Store. Thank you for this opportunity to connect to our art community. Is there any expiry on a gift card?
Hi Jane, there is no expiry BUT a few years ago we had a system change, so any gift card from before 2023 is no longer compatible with our online store.
