fantastic pens for calligraphic practice

You can't exactly wipe out a Brause nib and an offset nib holder and an inkwell during an office meeting, unless you want a lot of (a) raised eyebrows and (b) ink smears. (There's extra, and then there's _too_ extra.)

Yet in the same context, you can practice the basic motions and letter shapes with Fudenosuke Tombows discreetly, and satisfyingly.

They are also handy when working with a substrate that isn't amenable to your preferred inks, e.g. porous papers, birthday cards, etc, that would come out blotchy if you used your nibs.

Also great for kids (I would imagine,) or those just learning calligraphy.
