Add a sense of occasion to your art with classic drawing ink in Winsor & Newton iconic bottles.
Fast-drying, water resistant, and transparent, these drawing inks can be used with a brush, dip pen or airbrush. There are 24 colours to choose from, including Liquid Indian Ink - a water-based solution of traditional Chinese stick ink. Inks may be mixed with each other and thinned with distilled water or you can overlay different colours for new effects and shades.
All of the colours, except white, gold, and silver, are suitable for use with stylus pens. Only black and white are permanent to light.

Lacklustre
I purchased the nut brown and the silver. I used the nut brown in class this week and it was so underwhelming and did not blossom like the inks the instructor was using. I have not tried the silver yet. But at this moment - I would not recommend. If I thought I would be around Opus to try to return both inks - I would.

Deep red
Lovely inks really nice to use. When I was picking up colour a deep red look to be a blue red and a deeper colour, however when I went to swatch them at home it was more of a true red and quite bright. Still a nice colour but not what I was looking for.

I'll admit, when I got into traditional inking I went through a lot of really bad inks. Then I found Winsor & Newton inks and I fell in love. The colors are incredibly pigmented and have a lovely vibrancy and application to them. I recently bought some colored ones (began with the plain India ink black) and while they don't have the same thick, lasting consistency as black, their vibrancy and gorgeous fade between light and dark more than make up for it. If you're looking for good drawing inks, this is my go to.
