A fan brush creates a thick-and-thin lined appearance in a single stroke. The filbert fan is a new shape which offers a curved edge to ensure the perfect foliage. The fan is a staple for landscapes and foliage due to the shape of the brush, which spreads (or fans) out, allowing paint to be applied in multiple directions in a single stroke.

The filbert fan is a blend of multi-diameter flagged tip bristles. The firm filaments are split at the tip, creating the additional ability to hold heavy-bodied paint or to drybrush by removing excess paint.
