Elegant, Front-Loading Wood Frames
Give your artwork a clean, contemporary finish with the Opus Whistler Canvas Frame. Designed specifically for stretched canvas and cradled wood panels, this elegant ready-made wood frame features a front-loading design that creates the appearance of your artwork floating within the frame.
A small space between the artwork and the inside edge of the frame creates a subtle shadow line, giving paintings a polished, gallery-style presentation while keeping the full surface of the artwork visible.
The artwork is secured from the back using canvas offsets, which attach the canvas or cradled panel to the frame with screws. Canvas offsets are required and sold separately.
Please note that the Whistler Canvas Frame is not suitable for canvas panels or other thin painting panels, as they do not have enough depth to safely accommodate the screws used to attach the offsets.

I find this a perfect frame for exhibition needs. Price is very reasonable and it worked well.
It frames one of my paintings which was done on the three quarter inch stretcher bars and so I glued and nailed a back strip onto the stretcher bars. This allowed the finished painting surface to be just at the right height that I wanted.
The end result is perfect.

The Opus Whistler floating frames work well for both 3/4 inch deep canvas and cradled wood panels. They finish the look of my paintings wonderful!

The Opus Whistler Frame is a practical all-purpose frame for canvas/board. I find it a little heavy for my work and would appreciate it in a natural colour but the size was perfect. Like everything else, price has risen and I am now more likely to buy deep canvas/boards.
They are nice when they aren’t chipped. I think they are too expensive. $40 with tax for the 5”x7” size. Opus is very good about returning damaged frames.

I like the convenience and the look. The downside is that often the corners are chipped or damaged and you can't see that until you take off the cardboard corners.

Thank you so much for the frame. It got here in perfect order. It made my painting look amazing and my son loved his birthday gift. It was amazing to get a sweet note attached to the frame. Also asking me to share a picture of my painting. I literally couldn't figure it out how to do that, even with your instructions... Perhaps someone could walk me through it??? Anyways, Ty🙏💕
