ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Flashe Vinyl Paints
In the 1950s, Lefranc Bourgeois developed the iconic Flashe paint, the first vinyl colour and an alternative to traditional art supplies.
Flashe's multi-medium grip enabled artists to escape the constraints of their studio or canvas. Its unique pigmentation and matt finish transforms the artist's experience. The colour is pure and adaptable. The pigments create indelible marks on each canvas and space.
Customers praised this vinyl paint for its "rich pigmentation with a beautiful matte finish" and "velvety surface." The paint works well on multiple surfaces, dries quickly, and offers excellent coverage. However, some noted it requires several layers for full opacity and has a thick consistency that makes color mixing time-consuming.
- Rich pigmentation with a beautiful matte finish.
- Incredibly rich and saturated with a velvety finish.
- Great texture, good bite and great finish. I love that I can use them on any surface!

Love the Flashe paint! It dries a great surface and works perfectly for my vintage stencilled image project.
I use it for fine lining my window paintings from the outside. It works great: stays on during most weather and comes off with only a mild/moderate amount of effort.
I have not used Flashe long enough to give it an accurate analysis. However, I’ve mixed it with other new products with good results. I plan to do more testing in the month ahead. So far, I like it. However, I used Ivory and wish you had Titanium white for mixing purposes.
Rich pigmentation with a beautiful matte finish.
A very useable pink
Beautiful shade
Love this colour
Flashe paint is amazing and my favourite medium
Love these paints, and still experimenting. A few years ago, I couldn’t find these paints anywhere; I’m glad that Opus carries them now.
I had expected a brilliant shiny vinyl look. Initially I was disappointed but I've gotten used to it - it paints on easily and smoothly and covers well.
Flashe vinyl paint has a unique, velvety surface that can't be achieved with any other medium I know of. It may require several layers to reach full opacity. The dried surface is sensitive to fingerprints and scuff marks and should be handled with care.
I’ve started acquiring a small stash of Flashe paints and I love them. The super matte finish is excellent for layers and the iridescent ones shimmer beautifully. Definitely a great addition to my studio.
I love the Flashe vinyl paints - the regular colours, the neon colours and the iridescent colours! They're all fantastic. Great texture, good bite and great finish. I love that I can use them on any surface! Great value too!
I used the metallic silver to update worn gold-coloured metal door hinges. Pleased with the result. Paint flows on with good coverage and goes a l-o-n-g way. Lots left to use for other projects. Fast drying. Rinsed my art brush under cool running water to clean - brush ready to use again- doesn’t get any better than this.
I am somewhat disappointed with this product; it is not as opaque as I expected and most importantly it is very difficult to mix due to the consistency. I need to premix my colors and the thickness of this product makes this very time consuming.
Perfect .. had what I needed and was able to get it quick.
Incredibly rich and saturated with a velvety finish. There are paints, and there are Flashe paints.
Excellento!
