Winsor & Newton’s range of acrylic mediums for professional artists are best used with their Artists’ Acrylics. They have been formulated to ensure no loss of colour depth, offer excellent working characteristics, give you the control you need, and maintain no colour shift from wet to dry when used with Artists’ Acrylic colour.

This varnish protects your art from airborne pollutants, UV damage, and fading. It dries to an even gloss finish, and can be mixed with Artists’ Acrylic Matt varnish to vary the final finish. It can be removed with Artists’ Acrylic Varnish Remover.

Reviews are all about perceived value to the customer. I bought this varnish for a particular purpose, but it didn’t work. Had I given a review then, it would have been rated low. Then I found this product worked very well for something else, unintended, so now I give it a high rating.

Prefer the one Opus used to carry-it was mixed with water before use. Don’t recall the brand name & haven’t been able to get it for over a year

I just tried Windsor and Newton Satin Varnish, as suggested to me from a sales representative at ‘Opus’ victoria . I love this product and am relieved to find a varnish that I can brush on and not use sprays anymore. Beautiful quality and finish!
