Why We Collaborate

A Shared Vision for Artistic Excellence

Founded in 1941 by legends like Lawren Harris and Emily Carr, the FCA is Canada’s oldest national arts charity dedicated to educating artists, raising artistic standards, and showcasing excellence at all career stages. They manage a full-time gallery on Granville Island and host ~44 juried exhibitions annually. Opus’s mission aligns perfectly—to empower artists through quality materials, education, and opportunity.

“On The Edge” Exhibition Sponsorship

Pushing Boundaries with FCA’s Signature Juried Show

We’re proud to serve as the exclusive exhibition sponsor for FCA’s On The Edge—a national juried competition celebrating innovation and artistic risk‑taking. In 2025, Opus provided over $5,000 in gift‑card awards to supporting artists pushing their boundaries.

Community Impact & National Reac

From Granville Island to Coast-to-Coast

Today, the FCA includes ~2,700 members nationwide across multiple chapters, with a strong presence in B.C.. By supporting FCA, Opus amplifies creative energy across Canada, connecting with artists from Vancouver to Halifax and helping Canada’s visual-art community thrive.
