Stoneground's Earth Palette was inspired by coastal landscapes and atmospheric skies. This collection of colour gives an aged, vintage look to sketches and studies, while creating a variety of interesting colour combinations. The Earth Palette is a great compliment to existing Stoneground collections, and works beautifully for landscape, still life, illustration, and botanical subject matter.
The Earth Palette contains six half pans of our handmade watercolour paint in a hinged metal tin. Measuring approximately 2 1/2” x 2”, this compact size is ideal for travel and plein air painting.

I was pleased to see the Stoneground watercolor paints at the Opus Victoria store, especially because they are made in Canada, however, I was hoping to have more choice of the paints sets when I was there a few weeks ago. After I bought the 6-pan set there, I immediately ordered a 12-pan set online from Stoneground. Can't wait to get them. I enjoy their rich, smooth pigment quality. I am a beginner painter so am trying out various brands to establish my personal color palate. I was introduced to this company's paint when in Saskatoon. I used their metallic paints with my card making. I loved working with them. I will definitely be looking more at these paints as I gain more experience.
Colours seem to be creamy , quite opaque, but good.
