Great For Puzzle Books

I actually don't buy these pencils for artwork. My mother uses them for her puzzle books... crosswords, etc. She likes the quality of the pencils and that they're dark enough to stand out on the pages to see. A neighbour of ours started doing puzzle books and she asked me to get these pencils for her... like my mother, she found they worked better than standard yellow pencils as well.

Works as promised

I'm particular.

I am a pencil user, wooden and mechanical, and always choose 2B or 3B lead. These are Staedtler Mars and deliver what they are supposed to: softer lead that doesn't break too easily. I slightly prefer the Koh-I-Noor --maybe it's just the color but certainly these hold a fine sharpening from a Long Point Automatic KUM sharpener. (It is called an Automatic Long Point but it is a small hand held.) A very good pencil.
