Made from soft, natural latex gum rubber with a precision-ground finish, Speedball Soft Rubber Brayers are ideal for use with linoleum, soft block, or woodcut. The heavy-duty steel frame provides enhanced durability, and the flexibility of the 40/42 durometer ensures for even ink distribution.
These brayers work best with water-soluble or oil-based printing inks.

- Using the same one for over 25 years and it is going strong
- Excellent quality for both applications and easy cleaning
- High quality soft rubber - excellent results for smooth ink application
I just purchased this brayer for a friend, but I have been using the same one for over 25 years and it is going strong. I have purchased beaters from other retailers/manufacturers and have had issues with indents and other imperfections. I have never had these problems when using Speedball brayers.
Great little roller used it a few times now
It works great
I’d just finished a gelli plate class and was anxious to get started practicing at home. Our amazing instructors gave us top notch instructions which included their endorsement of purchasing everything we need at OPUS. They were so right. The Speedball brand brayers are excellent quality for both applications and easy cleaning. Their quality construction will certainly last for years.
Great roller, washes up easily, has good consistency.
I am already familiar with Speedball’s terrific brayers. This is yet another I’m adding to my brayer contingency.
High quality soft rubber brayer - excellent results using this to transfer smooth ink application from the gel plate to embossing folders and cardstock.
