Great for mixing accurate colours.

White palette paper gave me problems with values - colours appeared darker on white and were too light when applied to the canvas. The neutral gray palette paper has resolved the issue. Size is good for plein air but I need to tape two pieces together for a larger mixing surface.

Grey palette preferred

This works very well, it’s good quality paper that doesn’t soak through or tear easily. At about 50 cents/sheet I use every square cm.

Richeson grey matter paper palettes are five star.

I prefer seeing my paint on the grey paper rather than white. There is less glare, it is a Natural light to my eyes. This palette is best for clean up. It is strong and works well when you mix colours.
