Perfect for both studio and plein air work, the Princeton Aspen™ brushes are a blend of technical excellence and style.
Princeton's Aspen™ combines several important benefits to artists: the brush retains its shape for control and placement of color, paint releases and glides evenly off the synthetic hairs. The brush can be used with all acrylic and oil paints including water-soluble oils. The non-glare ferrule makes Aspen™ perfect for outdoor painting. A beautiful brush only surpassed by its performance.
These synthetic oil painting brushes are highly praised by customers who love their shape retention and durability. Customers said they "hold their shape very well" and clean up easily. One noted they're "better than Rosemary." The brushes excel at controlled paint application and blending. Minor note: one customer found cleanup slightly harder but still worth it.

Best oil brush for holding its shape
After oil painting it cleans up completely with Murphy’s Soap and maintains the sharp, tidy bevel at the point. It dries quickly. I have 3 sizes and love their performance.

Princeton Aspen Brushes
Aside from the need to apply generous amounts of paint with hog hair and leave fantastic character behind; these synthetic brushes come close. They excel at applying a controlled amount of paint over distance. I love the control and dexterity of application edges. The filberts are limitless for function and soft enough to blend colour gently when working wet on wet. Vey happy for the price. Cleanup is a little harder but worth it.

Aspen brushes
I’ve tried many brands of oil brushes. Princeton Aspen are the only ones I’ve found that hold their shape and clean up easily.

Lovely
Very nice. Prefer the ones by Winsor Newton, but just a bit different in stiffness.
Both types useful. Still trying out the different sizes to see what I like best. thanks

These brushes work well for me- they have just the right amount of springiness and have lasted a good long while. I treat them well , wiping , then rinsing in OMS and then rinsing and washing in Luke warm soapy water..
