These tools are specifically designed for use with PanPastel soft pastels. Versatile, inexpensive, and reusable, they can be used with a variety of other media, from charcoal to acrylics, watercolours, and ceramic glazes.

When used with Sofft Covers, the traditional painting knife is transformed into a multi-use and absorbent applicator for art and craft techniques. These inexpensive tools function like a cross between a brush and a knife.

Each knife has been ergonomically designed to fit in the hand for ease of use, and for good control. Sofft Knives are made from a flexible and durable plastic material. The handles are shaped like wooden handle knives for maximum comfort. Sofft Knives can also be used without Sofft Covers as traditional painting knives.

Essential tool for pan pastel

These are designed for pan pastels. With them you get the best application of pastel without waste. I have tried makeup sponges and q-tips, so you don't have to waste your time; just buy these tools.
I like this shape because it mimicks a filbert brush. The pointed ones are useful for finer details and the large wedges for laying on large areas. If you are rough with them or use rough surfaces they will wear so it's nice to have a variety pack. You can wipe them on a cloth or paper towel to switch colour, but I like it's to have a few: one for warm and one for cool colours.
