Opus Essential Acrylic Colours are an artist grade, heavy-body paint at a remarkable price point.
Produced in small batches in the United States with a quality first approach, they feature high concentrations of permanent, intense, reliable pigments.
Creamy and thick in consistency, they retain brush strokes well and are perfect for carving with a palette knife. These colours can also be thinned liberally with Opus or GOLDEN Mediums to increase their flow, or alter their sheen, without sacrificing intensity of pigment.
Use them indoors or outdoors for fine art applications, craft projects, and murals.
Some suppliers don't charge shipping costs when orders exceed $50. I hope Opus may adopt this system soon?

These were recommended by someone I respect in the art world- I think they’re ok. I think there may be a little less pigment than what you get from Gamblin, but you are paying more for Gamblin.I really miss the Stevenson oils. They were local and for my money, stood up to any of the big guys for consistency. Another comment regarding the Opus line- they only come in small tubes- the larger(150 ml) tubes in other brands are quite a bit more economical so that might be something to consider.
