Usable in Fountain Pens
Unlike most other waterproof inks, Octopus Write & Draw can be used in a fountain pen. However, care should be taken not to let the fountain pen dry out. The water resistance of Write & Draw Inks is created with the help of a unique binder, which cannot be easily dissolved when dry. Make sure you rinse and clean your writing instrument carefully after use to prevent damage to your tools.
Watercolour Effects
The ink dries waterproof in a very short time and can then be painted over with another shade of Octopus Write & Draw ink or watercolour. It is eraser-proof and most of the colours are also highlighter-proof.
Both pure and diluted with water, Octopus Write & Draw ink is excellent for colouring. Used undiluted, the waterproof ink convinces with its opacity. The many colours of Octopus drawing ink can be mixed with each other, but also with water. In this way, countless colour shades can be achieved for beautiful watercolour effects.

But found out later that it’s not really fountain pen “friendly”. I appreciate the staff’s honesty in giving me her personal experience using the ink with Lamy fountain pen as that was what I had in mind too. She suggested that I use the ink with great care. Don’t ever let it dry out in a pen… like rinse it every few uses.
So I opted for a cheaper pen — Preppy Fountain Pen. Been using the ink with the Preppy Pen for a while now. So far so good. Base on my experience I didn’t have any clogging issue using the ink with the Preppy Fountain Pen…just yet. But unfortunately Preppy Pens’ converters are expensive. They cost more than the actual pen itself. So I emptied the cartridge that came with each pen and refilled the cartridge with this Write and Draw Ink using a syringe.
I also bought a bottle of Red Ink. Just as beautiful and waterproof as advertised.
