Masterpiece Classic Value Canvas (0.75")

This is the canvas you reach for when the work itself matters more than the frame around it — studio studies, sketches you're testing an idea on, a run of small pieces for a show. The 3/4" (0.75") depth keeps it light and easy to store in stacks, and it's built to hold a frame cleanly if that's where the piece ends up.

Under the surface: 10oz cotton, acrylic primed with titanium dioxide white for a ground that stays flexible and doesn't yellow or go brittle the way zinc-based primers can. Medium tooth gives you grip for both dry media and fluid washes. Masterpiece stretches it drum-tight using their MasterWrap™ back-stapled method with folded corners, over solid Ponderosa Pine or Fir bars — not finger-jointed lumber, which can bow at the glue joints as humidity shifts. The wood itself is heat-treated to run drier than standard lumber-yard stock, so the bars stay true.
