Glassine is machine-made with 100% sulphite and is non-buffered with a neutral pH. It is most commonly used as a translucent interleaving for fine art works or use to store your artwork as it does not smudge pastel, charcoal or graphite drawings.

I use glassine to store my oil paintings. I sandwich the canvases face to face with some glassine in between them, then wrap them firmly together and into storage they go!

Love Glassine paper!

This is my « go to » paper every time I ship my Mixed media Coldwax and Oil paintings to my galleries to prevent the bubble wrap from adhering to the surface ! Absolutely love it !
