About the product

Koh-I-Noor Toison d'Or Pencils

Toison D’Or graphic pencils are made in the Czech Republic. The fine quality graphite leads give a smooth, opaque line that erases easily and cleanly. Each durable lead is encased in California cedar wood.

Customers praised these drawing pencils for delivering "good coverage based on assigned hardness levels" and holding a fine point. The wood casings allow precise sharpening. Shoppers noted the lead "goes on smoothly" and "erases cleanly" without scratching paper. However, one customer mentioned the pencils "break easily."

  • Good coverage based on assigned hardness levels. Wood casings allow for fine sharpening.
  • Softer lead that doesn't break too easily. Hold a fine sharpening.
  • Goes on smoothly, smudge-resistant, doesn't scratch the paper, erases cleanly.

Five Stars

I am a pencil user, wooden and mechanical, and always choose 2B or 3B lead. These pencils are from TomBow Company and deliver what they are supposed to: softer lead that doesn't break too easily. Koh-I-Noor/Tombow pencils hold a fine sharpening from a Long Point Automatic KUM sharpener. (It is called an Automatic Long Point but it is a small hand held.) A very good pencil.

Steadtlers were sold out so gave this brand a spin. So far, so good!

Good drawing pencil

I use these for the under-drawing, before I ink. 2H is great-- goes on smoothly, smudge-resistant, doesn't scratch the paper, erases cleanly.
