Intuitive Landscapes with Lynda Norman
Opus Essential WatercoloursAbout This Experience
Join Lynda Norman for a demonstration that embraces a loose and intuitive approach to watercolor landscape painting. Participants will learn to prioritize spontaneity over precision. The session will begin with a brief introduction to fundamental watercolor techniques, including wet-on-wet and dry brush methods, encouraging artists to experiment with color blending and texture.
As the demonstration unfolds, attendees will be guided to focus on capturing the essence of a landscape—its light, mood, and atmosphere—rather than striving for exact representations. Participants will be encouraged to let go of perfectionism by using broad strokes and fluid movements to create a sense of movement and life in their paintings.
By the end of the session, artists will leave with a deeper understanding of how to express their personal vision through watercolor, embracing the beauty of imperfection.

In 2012, she founded Artists For Creative Alliance, now known as the Kelowna Arts Council, to support local creatives. Through her studio, Ban Draoi, she aims to provide meaningful creative experiences that promote personal well-being and community growth.
