Hahnemühle® Natural Agave Watercolour Paper Blocks

Agave Watercolour is a natural white watercolour paper.

It is characterised by its cold pressed and very homogeneous surface texture. It is suitable for all kinds of watercolour techniques, especially for glazing. The special surface of the 290 gsm paper allows brushes to slide over the surface easily and allows for brilliant colour gradients. Washouts and corrections are simple possibilities.

Agave Watercolour is acid-free, non-aging and vegan. By using sisal, a fast-growing and resource-saving raw material, Agave Watercolour is the ideal painting surface for environmentally conscious artists. All Agave Watercolour blocks are glued on 4 sides. Individual sheets can be easily removed with Hahnemühle bamboo folder. 70% Agave fibre · 30% Cotton rag

What do I think of agave watercolor paper from Hahnemuhle?

I absolutely love it !!! When I put down juicy watercolour paint onto slightly wet paper, the paint does all the work for me. The colours blend and move just enough creating beautiful effects that I have not been able to produce with any other paper, including the most expensive 100% cotton papers. The colour is crisp white, any buckling flattens out as soon as it dries and I find that the colours stay vibrant on this paper. I am not an expert, just a hobbyist spending a lot of time on my watercolours and this is the first time that I can say, the search for the perfect paper is over for me. It’s the Agave watercolour paper by Hahnemuhle.
