Gamblin Galkyd Lite Gel Medium is a silky, softer gel medium for oil painters who want greater flow, increased transparency, and extended working time without losing brushmarks. Formerly called Neo Megilp, this medium gives oil colours a smooth, supple feel without making them too fluid, making it ideal for artists who want control in both thin glazes and softly textured passages.

Formulated with Gamsol, Galkyd Lite Gel is especially loved for transparent glazing techniques, while its softer body also helps create slightly thicker layers that hold their own texture. Unlike other Galkyd mediums, it dries to a beautiful satin gloss rather than a high gloss finish. Colours remain workable for hours and typically dry within 3–5 days, leaving a subtle, shimmery surface. Not a varnish.
