Gamblin Galkyd Gel Medium is the fastest-drying gel medium in the Gamblin range, ideal for oil painters who love the rich body of traditional oils but want layers to dry faster. This thick gel medium increases transparency, boosts gloss, and maintains smooth slip without becoming sticky, making it easy to work into every stage of the painting process.

Perfect for both impasto texture and glazing techniques, Galkyd Gel helps create luminous layers with excellent handling. Formulated with Gamsol, it can be used in higher proportions of oil colour for transparent glazes, while also building textured passages with confidence. Layers mixed with Galkyd Gel are typically touch dry within 24–48 hours. Not a varnish.
