She will walk you through the steps of developing a fast-paced painting while describing the exciting attributes of Lascaux’s world-renowned Acrylic Paint. Maggie will work from a limited palette to better showcase the incredible mixability of Lascaux Artist, a particularly luminous and intense acrylic paint accurately described as the very best!

About Your Host
Machteld “Maggie” Aardse is the resident artist for Lascaux. She is a multimedia artist based in Amsterdam. Drawing is the basis from which her work seeks out other media. She is intrigued by varying views of the world and the memory of the (urban) landscape. Most of her work is executed in the public space.
After getting a Master's in Art History at the University of Amsterdam, she completed a BFA in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and an MFA in Public Art at the Dutch Art Institute. Aardse is co-founder of de Beeldvormers and part of the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (MAPA) and Art Partner.
Among others, her work has been exhibited at the Nederlandsche Bank, the New York Islands Festival, the Women's Art Festival in Aleppo, Syria, CASA Snowapple Mexico City, Museum het Rembrandthuis, the Hollandsche Schouwburg, the Amsterdam Museum, GLOW Eindhoven and the Amsterdam Light Festival.
