Science and art unite with a beautiful watercolour paint.
Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors are vibrant, artist quality paints you can use with complete confidence that they will be permanent, with absolutely no fading.
These paints are formulated to meet and exceed the highest industry standards, every batch is thoroughly analyzed for its performance qualities – lightfastness, color value, tinting strength, clarity, vibrancy, undertone, particle size, density and viscosity.
Daniel Smith employs a team of mineralogists and chemists to help in the creation of their luscious and vivid watercolours. The pigments used within the paints are milled in Seattle.
Paint everything you can imagine with vibrant and consistent colors that can be easily mixed for even more variations.
Customers praised these watercolors for "fabulous quality" and "gorgeous" colors. Many enjoyed specific shades like Prussian blue and Indigo with "modest granulation." However, one customer reported the Cerulean blue was "not cerulean blue at all" and made color mixing difficult. Overall, shoppers appreciate the paint quality and atmospheric effects.
Fabulous quality paint, great colour - modest granulation

not cerulean blue at all
not cerulean blue at all. Not even close to other brands. Art teacher thought it was an awful cerulean blue. Other class mate with same paint was very disappointed as well. Hard to finish class with such an off "cerulean blue". Can't colour mix properly.
