Featuring a lightweight, triple primed 100% cotton, these back-wrapped and stapled canvases are ready to use straight away. Add more coats of gesso for an even smoother finish or when using as a surface for oil paints.

I love using the square deep canvases for the Art Squared Shows.I usually prep them with an extra layer of gesso when I need a very smooth surface but there’s no need when I paint with texture.

Was still a bit too rough, even after 4 coats of Gessoes, for doing a sepia painting. Otherwise was good for acrylic and regular oil painting.

I am 71 years old and on a fixed income. I am very pleased with Buzz pre-stretched canvasses. They are of acceptable quality and affordable unlike the junk you get in other brands for the same price.
