Opus Jasper Plein Air Frames are gold-leafed, and hand-painted with a black wash that reveals subtle hints of the leafing, resulting in a classic Spanish finish often seen in museums. Gussets reinforce the perfect 90∞ corner. Good for works of art on paper (glass not included), or art on canvas board or ™" deep stretched canvas (" rabbet).

Better aesthetics than any current readymades

This is one of the last lines of fairly elegant, somewhat contemporary readymade (open) frames. The lines replacing it are dowdy, dated and rustic and I wouldn’t put them on my artwork or pieces in my home. The Jasper line was much better and only loses one star because of the slight occasional flaws in finish, or more often damage from rough merchandising in store.
